Davido's '5IVE' Clinches Album Of The Year At AFRIMMA 2026

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has clinched the Album of the Year award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for his fifth studio album, '5IVE'.

The announcement was made on Tuesday via AFRIMMA's Instagram page.

The awards and music festival were held on September 12, 2026, at Annette Strauss Square in Dallas, Texas.

Davido emerged as the most-nominated artiste of the year with five nods.

His album '5IVE' beat off stiff competition to claim the top album prize, triumphing over nominees including Black Sherif for 'Top of The Morning Era', Omah Lay for 'Clarity of Mind', Asake for 'M$NEY', Tyla for 'A-Pop', Burna Boy for 'No Sign of Weakness', Lloyiso for 'Never Thought I Could', Leigh-Anne for 'My Ego Told Me To', and Himra for 'SORRY I'M BAD'.

Davido also received nominations for Artist of the Year, Best Male West Africa, and the Crossing Boundaries With Music Award.
