Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has revealed that she has deliberately stepped back from public controversies since her daughter Priscilla got married and she became a grandmother.
The actress, known for her outspoken nature, explained that she now prioritises peace and family over public battles.
In a recent interview, Iyabo admitted that she has toned down her involvement in issues because she does not want her daughter's in-laws to have a negative perception of her.
She noted that fighting often attracts false allegations and creates division, so she has chosen to stay calm. However, she added that she would still speak up if the need arises.
She said:
"Never say never. I have really piped down low because I am a granny now."
"Priscilla is married now and I don't want her in-laws having a certain perception about me."
"When you want to fight, it comes with a lot and when you are fighting, the opposition will always come up with different false allegations and it is always a divided audience."
"But if the need is for me to speak up, I will."
