Veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, remains in critical condition as his colleagues in the Yoruba film industry gathered for a special prayer session, seeking divine intervention for his recovery.
The prayer session, which took place on Friday, was attended by several prominent actors, including Jide Kosoko, Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Yinka Quadri, Rotimi Salami, Mr Latin, Adewale Elesho, and Antar Laniyan.
The prayers come amid growing concern over Ogogo's health, following an emotional appeal by his daughters, Lima and Kira, who revealed that the actor is battling stage-four cancer and that hospitals have refused to treat him.
In a tearful video shared on social media on Monday, Lima pleaded, "I can't watch my daddy die," while Kira confirmed that doctors could no longer administer chemotherapy.
The Nigerian Voice reported that Yinka Quadri had earlier expressed gratitude on behalf of the family, acknowledging the overwhelming support and prayers from fans, while noting that over 500 offers of spiritual and medical assistance had been received from the public.
