I will work to ensure Bawumia wins 2028 elections if re-elected NPP General Secretary – Justin Koduah

General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Koduah Frimpong, has pledged to work to ensure the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, wins the 2028 presidential election if he is re-elected to the position.

Koduah Frimpong said returning the NPP to power would remain his priority as he seeks another term as General Secretary in the party’s upcoming national executive elections.

He filed his nomination at the NPP headquarters on Monday, August 24, and said his campaign would focus on his record and plans for the party rather than personal attacks.

“It's my dream, and it's a dream backed with emotions and passion that I will never leave any stone unturned. I will work to make sure that our flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes president,” he said.

The incumbent General Secretary said he is grateful for the confidence reposed in him by the rank and file of the party and pledged not to disappoint them if given another mandate.

He also promised to continue supporting Dr Bawumia and work to strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 elections.

The NPP chief scribe said his campaign would be based on his achievements, the message of his campaign and what he intends to do if re-elected.

“I will continue with my campaign based on message, on a campaign devoid of personal attacks, on a campaign based on what I have done and what I will do,” he said.

Meanwhile, Frimpong Koduah is facing opposition from three other party stalwarts namely, Eugene Boakye Antwi, Sylvester Tetteh, Charles Dwamena.
