Rising Nollywood actor Chidi Dike has revealed that he was denied a movie role after refusing sexual advances from a female producer.
In a recent interview, Ike claimed that early in his acting career he was denied a movie role because for turning down sex requests from an established female producer whose name he refused to disclose.
“I thought only women are being exploited in the industry. It was funny to me that a well-respected female movie producer denied me a role because I refused to get down with her,” Dike stated.
According to him, despite stereotypes about men always being eager for sex, he has chosen to abstain.
“I’m pretty young and can’t get into such. Though I’m a man I so much believe in abstinence. One of my goals is to marry as a virgin too. I’m careful about who I sleep with. May God give me the strength,” he added.
He first rose to prominence with his role in the blockbuster movie titled "Better Half."
He has since appeared in numerous Nollywood films and remains a star to watch in the Nigerian movie industry.
