Attoh Quarshie Defies Order Of Police Chiefs

A member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Mr. Joshua Attoh Quarshie has called the bluff of the police administration and gone ahead to perform some fake installations of some traditional heads in his house.

This comes after he notified the police command about the event following which he was denied to proceed with the programme because it will amount to an illegality in the sense that there already exist chiefs and other elders for Adjumanku Dawurampong Royal family (one of the ruling houses in ngleshie alata traditional area) the community.

The Traditional Council is of the view that Attoh Quarshie had disrespected the Chieftaincy Institution and as a result has to be punished in line with the relevant laws and statutes.

Due to this inaction of the police, Mr Attoh Qurashie is emboldened to cause further disturbance and mayhem as he still has the support of some key Security capos.

According to sources what remains surprising is the fact that the Mamprobi Police is aware of the order of the Regional Police Command stopping Attoh Quarshie from doing what he is bent on doing but no action.

"With the backing of the Mamprobi Police Command Mr Joshua Ato Quarshie has been bringing heavily armed persons believed to be land guards in a government vehicle (Nissan Patrol) with registration number GV 411-14 to the Ajumako palace to break into it," another source alleged.

A worried family member who spoke to this network noted that what Ato Quarshie and his collaborators are doing is not only illegal but also an affront to the chieftaincy institution because he is not the family head or Dzaasetse, simply put he has not been clothed with any power in the traditional setting to enstool or destool anybody within the Ga State.

He wants the Police to take action against Mr Joshua Attoh Quarshie in order to avert a bloody clash in the area and warned that any action henceforth from Attoh Quarshie and his collaborators bent on disturbing the peace and unity of Ajumako will be fiercely resisted..

He is therefore sounding a warning that they have informed the Asafo group, youth, men and women to stand up against any threat and intimidation, stressing that they shall handle them with the contempt they deserve if they decide to break into the Stool House.

"We have resolved to resist any oppression from any quarters.”

According to him the elders of the stool have occupied their respective seats some ranging from between 60, 50, 20 years so why is Ato Quarshie bent on creating confusion and mayhem which will only lead to bloodshed. A word to the wise……….

The James town police command was however commended for moving swiftly to effect the arrest of the hoodlums but unfortunatel they couldn't make any arrest because they absconded before the police got to the scene.
