Nyantakyi Saga: Irbard Ibrahim Cautions Rev. Osei Kofi Over Thievery Comments
27.11.2018 LISTEN

Irbard Ibrahim, the Spokesperson for the former GFA Boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has cautioned the Ghanaian football legend, Rev. Osei Kofi over his ‘thievery’ comments against his client.

Rev. Osei Kofi is reported to have said on a Kumasi-based Sikka FM that “Nana Akufo Addo must know that Number 12 expose was divine intervention to get the President of the land to deal with Kwesi Nyantakyi’s ‘thievery’ and clean Ghana football. If he fails to deal with Nyantakyi Ghanaians will respond in 2020.”

In a statement issued by Irbad Ibrahim, the mild response is a statement of caution to the Reverend and others that bad-mouth Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi for whatever reason.

He added that his client reserves every right to pursue any legal action he deems fit in the face of such contemptuous and libelous utterances.

According to him, the notice has been duly served Reverend and his ilks who have made it a latter-day profession to vilify Mr Nyantakyi on Radio and Television.

REV OSEI KOFI IS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY

I have read with serious reservations excerpts of an interview attributed to sports commentator Rev Osei Kofi politicizing an issue that is being contested in court currently.

According to a quote from Ghanaweb, Osei Kofi made this unguarded utterance:

“Nana Akufo Addo must know that Number 12 expose was divine intervention to get the President of the land to deal with Kwesi Nyantakyi’s ‘thievery’ and clean Ghana football. If he fails to deal with Nyantakyi Ghanaians will respond in 2020, “the one-time Stoke City hotshot target told Kumasi-based Sikka FM.”

I find it quite unfortunate that the Reverend will attribute thievery to my client who currently has two strong suits of defamation and breach of fundamental human right of privacy he is pursuing in court.

I urge Rev Osei Kofi to exercise restraint in making such unguarded and ill-informed statements that seek to incite the general public against my client and put his name into disrepute

This mild response is a statement of caution to the Reverend others that bad-mouth Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi for whatever reason.

My client reserves every right to pursue any legal action he deems fit in the face of such contemptuous and libelous utterances.

Notice is duly served to the Reverend and his ilks who have made it a latter-day profession to vilify Mr Nyantakyi on Radio and Television!

Thank you
Signed
Irbard Ibrahim
Spokesperson for Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi
