An 8-seater toilet facility has been commissioned at Assin Denseh, a community within the Assin North Constituency of the Central region.
The official commissioning brought together teachers, town folks including opinion leaders and assembly members.
The project was undertaken jointly by the Member of the Parliament of the area, Hon Abena Durowaa Mensah, and students of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) Medical School, Faculty of Health and Allied Science.

The project also formed part of the students' Community-based Experience and Service Programme.
According to the MP, it was critical to construct this place of convenience for the inhabitants in order to maintain high level of sanity and hygiene.
She was also confident that the facility would go a long way to help deal with open defecation.
