A Change Lens - Treat Women Well

A Change Lens - Treat Women Well
13.05.2018 LISTEN

As we celebrate mothers today many people will and have changed the lens on their eye which have aided them in seeing the good in their mother, wife, sisters, mother in-laws and the beauty in women at large.

But the test still remains; will today's views about your mother, wife, sister, mother in-law and women in general continue to be the views you will have for them the rest of their lives or you are going to change the lens after this day ?.

Isn't it too pathetic when we facially celebrate our mothers to the world but deep inside their hearts are full of pains, hurt and uncaring behaviour from us.

Isn't is too hypocritical that we tend to celebrate our mothers' to the world and treat our wives, female workers, and colleague Ladies so badly without thinking they are also either going to be someone's mother or already a mother to someone.

Why are there so much injustice and violence against women in our homes, offices, and the society at large ?

If everyone and in everyday will value women as we doing today imagine how beautiful the world will be and the kind of life women will have to live around the globe.

If you are not in good terms with your mum, the best gift you can give to her on this day is the gift of forgiveness. No matter the magnitude of the offense you can make it easy today with just three words " I am sorry ".

Remember these words and the gift of forgiveness aren't bigger to be given to a woman who carried you for 9 months.

Most women are able to take the responsibilities of men when their partners are no more but how many men get into another marriage when their partners are no more ? It's simply because being a woman goes beyond having a child.

We celebrate you all women in our lives
God bless you all
We love you all
Dedicated to my mum. Mrs. Esther Arhin (a.k.a Ama Nkrumah)
