The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben, Madam Ama Pomaa Boateng, has donated cash of GH¢20,000.00 to support the running of the newly created Juaben Municipal Assembly.
This was at the official inauguration of the assembly in Juaben. It was carved out of the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality.
She reminded the assembly members and the staff to focus single-mindedly on bringing development to the people - fighting poverty, to raise the quality of life.
They should ensure that the economic potentials of the area were fully exploited to create jobs and wealth for the population.
Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister, who was on hand to perform the ceremony, called for all to unite behind the assembly to strengthen the local governance.
He presented computers, office furniture and stationery alongside two tricycles and 15 dustbins to assembly.
