Deal With Identity Crisis And Ignorance---Christian Leaders Urged
03.12.2017 LISTEN

Christians and Christian leaders have been challenged to work on identity crisis and ignorance which have gradually robbed most Christians of a great life and blessings in Christ.

This was reemphasized by Pastor Collins Yeboah during a launch of his second book titled "Living the Prophesy: fulfilling the reason for your being, the reason for your design" powered by Kingdom Literacy.

Pastor Collins was of the biblical opinion that the life in Christ and all the blessings and all the divine verities of GOD for us is wrapped up in prophecy and it takes knowing and believing in who you are in Christ through knowledge to live and fulfill this great life of prophecy.

Pastor Collins Yeboah who is the resident pastor of the Akomadan branch of the International Central Gospel Church made an observation from the preface of the book that

‘’Everything we do today is dependent on our vision of the future. If people do not know what the future holds in store for them they live anyhow without order, structure and consciousness of God. If people do not know how and what they have been designed for, they mismanage and waste time, opportunity and resources’’ , he said.

If you do not know the reason for your existence, that is, the wisdom of God for your design, you will attach little or no value to revelation knowledge, the leadings of the Spirit, visions and prophecies. If you are unaware of the purpose of God for your life, you will certainly live in the slavery of sin and deception.

Ignorance of the knowledge of how you f it in God's plan for life is the reason why probably you are unable to identify the favors, blessings, victuals and endowments that miraculously come your. Living the prophesy explains scripturally that as a faith-born there is a heavenly design for your life even before your birth and directs you to the steps to enable you to discover your purpose of being and live the prophecy and a fulfilled life.

The book which is prefaced from a message of the general overseer Rev. Dr. Mensah Otabil and for worded and recommended by Prophet Christopher Yaw Annor, Senior Pastor of ICGC Holy Ghost Temple, Adenta Accra and Rev. Andrews AsieduTetteh, Senior Pastor of Mission Light Chapel respectively.

PREFACE
P r e f a c e Pastor Mensa Otabil, in his sermon on Order at Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi, 2014, gave a story about a question he asked a young lady in ICGC Assembly in Akosombo (Ghana).

He said he was on a tour throughout Ghana over ICGC branches in Ghana and when he got to Akosombo on Tuesday, he decided to minister at the evening service.

He said in his teaching, he asked a young lady a question that; “if you knew or if there is a way you could know your future that it will be very bad, you will be poor, miserable and nothing will work for you, how would you live your life today?” He said the lady answered, “If I knew if that was how my future is going to be, I will live any how”.

Pastor Mensa said that was shocking to him because that was not what he was expecting. So he asked a second question “if you could know your future that you will be a great woman, great professional, wealthy, and great mother, how would you live your life today?” The lady answered that “I will be careful at everything I do today”. Everything we do today is dependent on our vision of the future. If people do not know what the future holds in store for them they live anyhow without order, structure and consciousness of God.

If people do not know how and what they have been designed for, they mismanage and waste time, opportunity and resources. If you do not know the reason for your existence, that is, the wisdom of God for your design, you will attach little or no value to revelation knowledge, the leadings of the Spirit, visions and prophecies. If you are unaware of the purpose of God for your life, you will certainly live in the slavery of sin and deception.

Ignorance of the knowledge of how you f it in God's plan for life is the reason why probably you are unable to identify the favors, blessings, victuals and endowments that miraculously come your way.Living the prophecy is a kingdom literacy material that explains scripturally that as a faith-born there is a heavenly design for your life even before your birth and directs you to the steps to enable you to discover your purpose of being and live the prophecy and a fulfilled life.

F o r e w o r d
LIVING THE PROPHECY, what an apt description! Arguably the prophetic ministry has a wide patronage among a lot of people especially in Ghana. In a world full of uncertainties as to what the future holds, it’s not uncommon to see throngs of people moving from one prophetic conference to another in the hope of hearing a word from God that will bring the desired change into their life.

That notwithstanding what is seen as a blessing has also its down side - it is open to all kinds of abuses so much so that what God intended to build up His people with, has become a snare for some people.

The result is confusion as to what or whom to turn to or believe; posing a danger for the genuine ones. However, the prophetic ministry is one out of several that God has blessed the church with and must be properly used to be a blessing to the body of Christ. The author, Collins Yeboah is concerned and rightly so about the ineffective way these gifts are being handled. He likens it to precious diamonds that have found their way into the hands of ignorant people who throw them away with reckless abandon.

Unaware of the worth of revelation, scriptural insight, among others many waste their lives. Time is of the essence and as Apostle Paul noted in Ephesians Chapter 5:14 - 16 “…Awake thou that sleepest and arise from the dead and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the times because the days are evil”.

That is the clarion call of the author to everyone, to take the gifts God has graciously given to the body of Christ and use them to build one another up. He combines his own experiences in the use of revelatory gifts and his wonderful teaching gift to lay a foundation to help the reader reflect the life of Christ. He draws from the rich experience of the Patriarch Abraham and his son Isaac on the importance of making ourselves instruments to fulfill God’s plan for our lives.

You will learn from the lessons he draws from Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son Isaac and Isaac’s willingness to be sacrificed, calling on us to also offer ourselves too to God. You will also appreciate his teaching on ‘grace’ and several other topics. This material will prove useful to anyone seeking to make his life count and fulfilling.

BY PROPHET CHRISTOPHER YAW ANNOR, SENIOR PASTOR, ICGC HOLY GHOST TEMPLE, ADENTA, ACCRA

I n t r o d u c t i o n One of the books that has inspired me so much is “At the Master's feet” by Sadhu Sunder Singh. Many concepts and precepts that hold the rule and the governance of my life have been from this book. In the book, this is what Jesus said; “there are many who have wasted the precious time given to them for My service, but even now there is an opportunity for them to arouse themselves and make the best use of the time that remains to them.

They are like a hunter who, whiles wandering in the jungle, picked up some pretty stones on the bank of a stream. Unaware of their value he used them one by one in his sling to shoot at the birds seated on the trees near the river, and so one by one they fell into the water and were lost. With one still in his hand he returned to the city, and as he passed along the bazaar a jeweler caught sight of it, and told the silly fellow that it was a valuable diamond for which he could get thousands of rupees.

When he heard this he began to bewail himself and say, "Woe is me! I didn't know their value, and have been using many of these diamonds to shoot at birds by the riverside, and they have fallen into the river and are lost, otherwise I should have been a millionaire.

Still I have saved this one, and that is something gained." Every day is like a precious diamond, and though many priceless days have been wasted in the pursuit of fleeting pleasures, and are forever sunk in the depths of the past, you should awake to the value of what remains, and bringing it into the best possible use gather for yourself spiritual riches.

Use it in My service, who have given to you life and all its priceless blessings, and by using them to save others from sin and death you will obtain an everlasting and heavenly reward.” This is how some people treat revelation, scriptural insight, divine endowment and resources.

Just as the hunter in the parable above wasted the diamonds because he was unaware of their value, so are many today, they are unaware of their worth to God so they waste their time in fornications, adultery, idol worship, drunkenness, sorceries, occultism, thefts, embezzlements, lies, timidity and falsehood. Many are they who live unfulfilled lives and this is because unknown to them is the high price God has placed on them.

As diamond is among stones so are you thousand times more among men. The value and the worth of a diamond are not placed upon it by itself but it was done by its creator and maker. In the same way, your worth and value in life and in the kingdom of God are not placed on you by yourself but by your creator and maker.

Just as the value of diamond was discovered through research and painstaking efforts so you need to search and find out the purpose for your design – the reason for your being. That discovery is your worth in the kingdom of God.

If you fail to discover your value in life, you will be a waste just as the diamond was lost in the river. Your faith will be malnourished and you will be fed based on your knowledge of the purpose for your being. Living The Prophecy is a kingdom literacy resource that has been divinely prepared for you to enable you to discover the reason for your existence and the pathway you need to take to fulfill it.
