After 70-Years: The Conscientious Stupidity Of Political Parties Must End In Ghana

H.E. Nana Akufo Addo is doing his best to cure the stupidity that engulfed the Big six , 70 years ago. But his good intentions are blurred but not too late now to realign Politics with our Socio-Traditional nobility in order to cure the stupidity in order to position Ghana on her missed providential way.

It is a travesty of Justice and indeed a great error that the late Prez H.E. Mills instituted 21 September as Founder's Day, as if it was Nkrumah alone who founded Ghana. He just repeated the same stupidity that divided the big 6. In fact the providential way and noble agenda of forming UGCC to take political power from our colonial British master, was turned into and still is, "Ghana Amanehunu part 1-6", to wit, The great tribulations of Ghana Part 1-6.

Neither the 4th of August 1947 when UGCC was formed as the first political party NOR 21st September in memorial of Nkrumah can be arrogated or justify in wisdom without fumbling as the FOUNDER'S OR FOUNDERS' DAY for Ghana.

I dare say without any equivocation, that these thoughts are rooted in political quagmire, the same stupidity that engulfed the big 6 and these thoughts suffer amnesia of INDELIBLE TRUTH of history that founded our country from precolonial Gold Coast to Ghana.

Ghana as free and independent country was preconceived, conceived, given birth pangs to by our chiefs. But was delivered as politically confused baby state in stupidity by politicians. In the 70th year, this stupidity must stop.

The 12th January, 1948 where the Birth Pangs of Ghana began is undisputed, socio-traditional, call to wisdom, unity, realigned providential missed way and reenergised DAY that must be humbly understood and celebrated for persons who sacrificed their lives, wealth and strength to Found Ghana.

It is indeed CONSCIENTIOUS STUPIDITY for politicians who are disgruntled and myopic to shamelessly argue that GHANA was founded by Politicians alone. Nonsense, let's rise up in thoughts from darkness sleep of lies to be awakened in knowledge of truth and given appropriate honour where its duly due.

The Protectorate Bond of 6th March, 1844 by our chiefs with the British against Ashantis taken over and ruling over them kick started colonisation and at the same time set the preconceived foundation of liberated Ghana on 6th March, 1957 as Independence Day when Ghana was Founded.

In 1873, when the Chiefs realised that the colonial British Master has arrogated unto herself certain powers outside the Bond of 1844, brought the various confederations of Fantes, Ga, Akyem, Ada etc together to fight for their freedom. This was over 70 years before the first political party UGCC was formed on 4th August 1947 with the support of our socio- traditional energy and splendour of our chiefs and Kings.

The UGCC big 6 lacked the genuine power of patriotism and selflessness to agitate the latent energy of conceived Ghana with the masses suffering in slavery in their own land.

On the Day, which must be celebrated as Founders Day became historical, when the ancient bravery of our chiefs was once again called to duty by The Ga, Osu Chief, NiiKwabena Bonne. NiiKwabena dared the British, faced death squarely and called for Nationwide boycott of all British goods in the then Gold Coast. His call Agitated our Chiefs and Kings, our market women, traders, farmers and political elites. The sustained boycott led to 28th February 1948, Christenburg cross road shootings of 3 unarmed ex-servicemen in the persons of Sgt. Adjetey, Cpl Attipoe and Pte Odartey. Their blood and how we've honoured them to date has never been controversial. This date is celebrated as memorial to their sacrifice and NOT a holiday. Hmmm

These four brave, selfless and patriotic GAs initiated and sustained the birth pangs of Ghana that lifted the spirit of nationhood and energised the UGCC members.

The UGCC rode at the bent backs of our Chiefs to gain popularity in Ghana. The coward and selfish attitudes, coupled with individual glory seeking gave birth to POLITICAL CONSCIENTIOUS STUPIDITY that has derailed our unity and socioeconomic development over 60 years now. "Ghana Amanehunu Part 1-6".

Nkrumah saw the opportunity to out smart the the other 5, broke away to form CPP on 12 June 1949, 18 months after NiiKwabena Bonne gave the Birth pangs of Ghana.

The Stupidity of the rift gave birth to shameless lies, negative propaganda, meted wicked atrocities to one another, shared innocent blood and ginormous disrespect of elders in our society for stupid political capital exigencies. Seventy years now, this stupidity must stop.

Since 1848, when the first Parliament popularly called Legislative Assembly was formed until 1948, was predominantly constituted with our chiefs. The Casley Hayford educated group in the 1923s were humbled and respected our chiefs. However, hundred years over in 1948, the haughty educated group of the UGCC sacked all chiefs as illiterates and bootlickers of our sovereignty from the Legislative Assembly through propaganda. They were given the chance as young leaders of our country, to build but their knowledge lacked wisdom to build on a strong foundation of unity.

Nkrumah self ambitious nature not only destroyed his knowledge and vision but those who also laboured with him initially both in UGCC and CPP were destroyed by him.His passion and great vision suffered still birth.

Ghana was nonetheless Founded with great inertia of political stupidity.

Non can deny the superordinate role played by Nkrumah and the penultimate roles by our Chiefs, UGCC, ex-servicemen and market women and traders.

Ghana needs 12 January as Founders' Day to give honour where its duly due.

Seventy, 70 years, the complementary role of Fmr Prez JJ Rawlings must be applauded signifying the noble providential way taken by the UGCC. The inertia of political polarisation hindering our socioeconomic development is once again being given the momentous thrust towards our missed providential way by Fmr Prez JJ and Prez Nana Akufo Addo.

The NDC should look unto its Founder, Fmr Prez JJ Rawlings stance in order to make sense in their national discourses. NDC taken the seventy 70 years stupidity attitude of UGCC is backward. The NPP fighting hard to accentuate 4^th August as Founders is still backward.

The ruling NPP led by H.E. Nana Addo should amend any proposition to

12 January as Founders Day to help healed the wounded pride and strife that derail the energy of our socioeconomic development.

As a nation, lets rise above the only recent 70 years old political stupidity to realign our thoughts to our ancient ancestral values that protected the various communities that we've aggregated to the present day Ghana.

Ecc 10:6, the bible says "Folly is set in great dignity". Let's deal with this 70 year stupidity in great dignity of our political leadership at its low ebb, that we might apply our hearts to wisdom. For wisdom is the right application of knowledge.

When we cure this stupidity, we can there be in a position to celebrate their positive contributions and successes.
