The Satanism Of Cybercrime Among The Youth In Assin South Constituency

As an activist and a radical constituent of Assin South, I can't pretend I don't know what is actually transcending recently in a Constituency I have lived for almost 23 years now. I feel ashamed about the Satanic cybercrime some of the youth have taken to as their well paid venture.

In fact, I grief, descerning the actions of my co-youth. "I don't hate the youth, but I hate their trickery immoral actions for overnight riches".

I know very well that elders and leaders are concerned about the cybercrime by the youth in Assin south constituency. To be precise, I can perceive they are extremely worried about such an ungodly trending evil.

"Cybercrime, or computer related crime, is a crime that involves a computer and a network to defraud people of their monies."

I am not a spectator, I am a citizen not to slander or defame, but to adorn something to our advantage. I have no intent to calumniate my people but to extol them.

In our local areas, cybercrime has grown unrestraindly among the youth. This has created a scene of terror and fear in the constituency. The deceit of people for money is becoming impairing to say the least.

Sometime ago, when technology was still green, people who were involved in cybercrime were criminals who used the programing talents to glean millions of cash from banks. These crooks were so ingenious in their schemes that many banks cut deals, to hire them as security consultants rather than sending them to prison.

2005 through to 2011 saw the era of "sakawa", cybercrime. Agona Swedru, was then the hub of such an act. Today, the same people who are now standing as the youth, who frowned against this act now upholds it as tho they never chastised it sometime ago.

This satanic mechanism must stop!
What at all are the causes of this malevolent? Through my scrutiny, it is soo obvious that laziness and casualness is one of the causes of this nefarious.

We find ourselves in difficult times. Things are exceedingly difficult. The hopes entrusted in the government has also birthed no developments in the lives of people.

People are left to becoming beggers and armed robbers while some abhors laziness and reap the fruits of their hard work.

It is rather sad that most of our youth today are not creative to meet the challenges of life. The era of depending on Government and individuals is long gone and we must face the realities of time so that we can survive.

We must as the youth seek counsel from the elders so that we can be properly guided as we journey in this difficult times.

“Though everybody is born to be great in life, sadly enough, very few achieve true greatness. Why?

"Quick money" as it has been termed, is the song of the youth. Passing through right ways to become successful, is seen as an endless fruitless journey. So deciept is thier priorship instead.

Engaging in agriculture to help produce food for the country and exportation(farming) is regarded as a curse. Pride is rather taken in demonstrations against government when the government is not providing the required social amenities for their villages by the youth.

Lack of parental control is another cause of cybercrime in our constituency.

Few parents have been able to perform their responsiblities as parents, most parents have less time for their offsprings and some even don't see to the growing their wards spiritually, by putting the fear of God into their hearts. No wonder as young as age 13, some children are easily influenced by peers to involve themselves in criminal acts. Parents failure to control their children has lead to the conflicts of Proverb 1:8 "Listen, my son, to the discipline of your father, and do not forsake the instruction of your mother". Parents have failed instilling discipline and the youth has gone recalcitrant.

In the absence of parental authority and guidance, children act on their impulses, leading to devastating consequences like "Sakawa".

On 07.04.2015 a criminologist Prof. Ken Attafuah said "the failure of families and societies is the cause of increasing crimes among the youth in Ghana which is due to lack of parental control" and this is manifesting in Assin South Constituency.

The perils of this cybercrime has lead to high drop out rate of students. They believe it is time wasting to spend years on circular education to prosperity. Agricultural products are declining.

Even mental incompetencies knows, cybercrimes are not performed in an honourable manner, it alleges, spiritual sacrifices which needs to be done in order to make the process successful.

Killing of virgins, teenagers, removal of human body parts and removal of dead bodies from tombs are becoming very usual.

It seems my constituency is under curfew, since they go to bed early and wake up late in the morning. The fear is becoming horrible. Earnestly, the need for fighting cybercrime is necessarily; of neccessity.

GOODNUFF takes a bow to summon; Hon. JOHN NTIM FORJOUR(Member of Parliaments'), ELDERS, CHIEFS, ASSEMBLY, PARENTS', ALL PROTOCOLS AND STAKE HOLDERS observed to take immediate measures to stamp out the backfriend, Cybercrime "Sakawa" hiding in Assin South Constituency.
