Deputy Attorney general Godfred Yeboah-Dame has stated the NPP’s lead lawyer for the 2012 election petition Philip Addison is a better lawyer than the famous Tsatsu Tsikata.
According to him, after comparing the qualities of both gentlemen, he comes to the conclusion that Mr. Addison stands tall above the former GNPC boss in advocacy.
“To be a good lawyer, there are a number of qualities that one must exude; one is courage, honesty, wits and a good sense of judgment. Philip Addison, I have the opportunity of understudying him, he was my first master at Akufo-Addo Prempeh and Co.
“I have had the opportunity of seeing Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata on his feet, and I have also have the opportunity of comparing their previous practices and experiences. And I think that upon a careful analysis of the qualities I have indicated, I think Mr. Addison stands tall in my humble view,” Mr. Dame told Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday.
He added that although Mr. Tsikata made a lot of name in the past, it was in the public service where he led GNPC for about ten years, and not necessarily as a private lawyer.
Discussions over who was the best among the two respected advocates sharply divided members of the NDC and NPP as the eight-month long election petition raged on at the Supreme Court in 2012.
