Don’t Just Wait: Work With Your Faith

There has to come a TIME in the life of a Christian when you should NOT be comfortable just waiting and hoping for things to HAPPEN or CHANGE in your life.

Know this: The BLESSING and SUCCESS you want WILL NOT come to you until you take DEFINITIVE steps to make it happen. You see; the children of Israel were promised the blessing of the "Promised Land" by GOD even before they were born BUT they had to ACT on the WORD of GOD and the PROMISES of GOD in order to ATTAIN that PROMISE.

They had to go through the RED SEA in order to enter the PROMISED LAND. At the verge of overcoming their RED SEA experience, they were faced with the JERICHO WALL. NOTICE THIS: When they got to the wall; they DID NOT sit down to wait on God after He had commanded them to move on and go forward.

They again acted on the word of God to go round the wall of Jericho for 6 days and on the 7th day, they shouted in song before the walls of Jericho came tumbling down.

Now here is the IRONY: A lot of Christians have been ERRONEOUSLY taught and been DECEIVED into believing in instant miracles, instant prosperity and so on and so forth.

KNOW THIS: The principles of God DO NOT change. Our ability to trust and believe in God for a miracle SHOULD NOT stop us from acting in faith to see and experience VISIBLY the VERY THING that we NEED and DESIRE from the hands of our gracious heavenly FATHER.

You can not believe God for the FRUIT of the womb and REFUSE to have sex with your partner. That's an ANOMALY of the HIGHEST PROPORTION!!! You cannot expect PROSPERITY or SUCCESS in life and refuse to work HARD with your hands or study to gain the required grades. You CAN NOT be sleeping and waiting on God to get you out of the despair of unemployment. Write that CV. Get to the job!!! Nothing in life happens by CHANCE. Every promise of God comes forth based on the principles of seed sowing and harvesting. You CAN NOT expect to harvest any crop that you have failed to sow a seed into the soil for. Hence the REASON why the word of God says that " He who does not work must not eat"(see 2 Thessalonians 3:10). YET, many of us have become SO LAZY to the point where we now THINK that we can achieve significant things in life that will bring glory to God without putting forth any EFFORT towards it. That again is an ANOMALY of grace proportions!!!

We have now turned everything into instant this, instant that. You CANNOT have success without being diligent with your time and with your purpose.

Even GOD Himself had to work for 6days to see the beautiful earth come to life and He rested for only one day from all his work. YET, most believers think that they can just WAIT and WASTE precious time on USELESS VENTURES and still be successful and rich without working towards it.

Again that is another GROSS ANOMALY. We have become so lazy that we REFUSE to put forth work and effort with our hands YET we ALL want to experience instant success and financial wealth.

At a certain time in the life of Jesus, He had to remind his family members His reason and purpose for coming into this world. He once told them that, "I MUST do the work of Him that sent; a night cometh that no man can work"(see John 9:4) Jesus Christ knew that, for Him to win souls, He MUST do the work and NOT just pray for the work ONLY.

My fellow believers and fellow pilgrims on this journey called LIFE, it is so CRUCIAL that we set our PRIORITY and AFFECTION on ACTING on the Word of God for ourselves.

We need to READ and ACT on the WORD of GOD. We MUST NOT sit down and merely hope that the changes we desire in our lives will come if only we wait and waste precious time and squander our gifts and talents.

That is an ERROR!!! An ANOMALY of grave proportions!!! I want to CHALLENGE you reading this text right now to decide that from now till the end of this year, YOU will step up and effect changes in your life based on the wisdom you read in the word of God.

Faith without corresponding action is dead(see James 2:17) You need to IMMERSE yourself TOTALLY in God's Word and decide that you will ACT on what you read and move with alacrity and dexterity to achieve and attain all that God has promised you in His Word.

Know this: No promised land is recovered by waiting and wasting precious time BUT rather it requires taking active and definitive steps in faith to spy out the land like Joshua and Caleb did and to recover the land.

May you recover the desires of your heart in this season as you step out in faith and DO NOT wasting precious time sitting and waiting in vain. God will help YOU in Jesus' Name. Amen
