Protea Hotel Select official opens in Takoradi

M arriott International, Inc. has officially opened its luxurious 132- room Protea Hotel Select in Takoradi, the first in the oil city of Ghana.

Located in a quiet part of Beach Road, Dixcove Hill, the 4-star Protea Hotel is the first internationally branded hotels in the Western Regionandcaters to both business and leisure travelers.

The opening of Protea Hotel in Ghana brings to 19 the number of countrieswhereMarriott International operates in theMiddle East and Africa.

The hotel is a part of the Mohinani Group jv in partnership with African Capital Alliance (ACA) Nigeria.

The new Protea Hotel consists of60 square meter executive garden suites, 12 two bedroom apartments and well appointed standardrooms available to the comfort of guests. The rooms are well fitted withamenities to make the stay of guests memorableincludingLED televisions, DSTV, self-controlled air-condition, work station, coffee/ tea services and a mini bar. They also come with a furnishedposturepedic mattress that provides uncompromising superior sleeping comfort; crisp, elegant imported linen; generous bathrooms with rainfall showers providing 10 liters of water per minute.

The hotel offers first class conference facilities with a maximum of 150 delegates; a state of the art media facility, a business centre and a Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the compound geared to meet the needs of business travelers.

Protea also boast of leisure facilities such as a fitness centre, pool area and a fantastic food and beverage A la Carte menu served by its world class chef in its large euphoria restaurant, lounge and main bar. The hotel also offers a live jazz music to entertain its guests.
