Ecobank Ghana as parts of it ‘’Third Ecobank Day’’ celebration have donated an infant Incubator to Tarkwa Old Government Hospital on Saturday, October 24 in the Western Region.
The Ecobank day dubbed “every child in Africa deserves a better future” was aimed at providing help to schools and hospitals across the length and breadth of the country. And also improve the lives of school children or communities in which they are sited, and facilitate development of our future leaders
In his remark, the Zonal Manager for Ecobank Ghana, Western and Central, Mr. Emmanuel Akron disclosed that it is the responsibility of the company to support and give back the profit they gain from the people within their catchment areas as they are celebrating their Ecobank day.
Mr. Emmanuel Akron added that, Ecobank day is being celebrated simultaneously in 8 locations across the country by the four Ecobank affiliate companies namely, ecobank ghnana limited, eProcess international, ecobank development corperation (EDC) and the pan- African savings and Loan Company limited.
He said the company is given out excess amount of GHc 600, 000.00 to various hospitals and educational institutions.
In addition, the company is given out full three years scholarship to 25 brilliant but needy students entering boarding school in the Senior High School which is being selected across the country.
Receiving the infant Incubator on behalf of the hospital, Dr. Baden Ansah, Medical Superintendent at Tarkwa Old Government Hospital thanked the Ecobank Ghana for the gesture and promised that the facility will be use for its intended purpose to save more children.
