Prof Marfo-Yiadom is new Board Chairman of Delta Capital

Accra, Oct 12, GNA - Professor Edward Marfo-Yiadom, Dean of the University of Cape Coast Business School, has been appointed as the Board Chairman of Delta Capital, an Accra-based investment banking firm based in Accra.

A statement on the appointment signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company, Mr Victor Owusu, said Prof. Marfo-Yiadom has in-depth insight in business management and entrepreneurship with several years of experience in academia, research and consultancy.

Mr Owusu explained that Prof Marfo-Yiadom 'brings in an impressive track record and extensive network in management and finance needed by Delta Capital as the company embarks on growth strategy within the next three years."

The Delta Capital CEO said the new Chairman would lead the Board to provide strategic direction to enable the company achieve its vision to become the preferred investment banking firm in the country.

Mr Owusu expressed the company's delight about the appointment, as Prof. Marfo-Yiadom, a Chartered Accountant, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, 'brings in his expertise and extensive experience to our Board'.

The CEO of Delta Capital disclosed that Prof. Marfo-Yiadom was Vice Principal of the Cape Coast Polytechnic; a Visiting Lecturer at the Valley View University, and a Consultant with the Capital Consulting Limited and Business Advisory Center in Cape Coast.

He has written numerous books, journals and articles on Management and Finance for the Academia and the Business Industry, Mr Owusu added.

Delta Capital is licensed and regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana.

The company undertakes management of institutional and high net wealth funds.

It also provides corporate finance and advisory services, including raising capital for institutions.
