Human Right Rights And Homosexuality: Conflict Of Interest

Human Right Rights And Homosexuality: Conflict Of Interest

While there is a general consensus on the promotion of human rights, there is a divided interest in promoting the rights of homosexuals. My critical observation has revealed a conflict of interest between homosexual rights and the rights of future human generations. In my previous articles I have stressed the need to respect human rights of every individual irrespective of one’s sexual orientation; meanwhile I sincerely and consciously condemned the act of homosexuality. In this article, I explored further the conflict of interest that rises between homosexuality and the rights of future generations.

The first question I asked is, Do we want societal continuity and future existence? My research indicates that almost every country in the world initiatives sustainable policies and programmes aimed at preserving, protecting and conserving certain amount of resources for future use. My first observation is the recent global goals set and adopted by the United Nations. In fact, the goals are called “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. My layman’s understanding of sustainability is making judicious and efficient use of resources and making sure that the resources and gains made exist to support future generations. If We as human experts are interested in the future, then we should be interested in the lives of those in future. The future in this case refers to our children and those yet to be born. Logically, it means the children yet to be born have the right to be born and to live a comfortable life, and that is why their future must be taken proper care of by the present generation. Now, there is a common saying that, “my rights ends where another person’s rights begin”, so if the men have the right to marry men, and women marry women, then their right to make such choice ends, when the rights of future generations begin.

Another area of conflict of interest is the right of homosexuals to legally adopt children. Adoption in my understanding means legally taking someone’s child and bringing up such a child as your own. The question is why would someone give birth to a child, and another person owns that child? That is unacceptable and is completely against the natural law of birth right. In any case, every sensible being knows that a child can only be gotten through male-female relationship and homosexuals are fully aware of this natural arrangement. With this absolute knowledge, a man decides to marry another man, and woman to woman, it simply signifies that such a couple have no interest in bearing and upbringing a child. So which sense does it make for such couple to go and adopt someone’s birth right? I don’t understand this. If such an arrangement is made and allowed for homosexuals to adopt children, then we need to redefine the concept of human rights; otherwise posterity and natural justice will not forgive us.

Furthermore, I want to relook at the SDGs. If you look at goal 14 and 15, it is talking about preserving, conserving, protecting and restoring the natural ecosystems; both water bodies and forests lands. In these ecosystems, we have animals and plant species that we call on all countries across the globe to protect. My critical observation indicates that these organisms live in their natural habitats and live according to natural laws, but mankind’s interference is what is destroying these ecosystems, and consequently, human life is threatened since all living organisms are interdependent on one another for existence, hence the need to protect these natural ecosystems. In relation to human ecosystems, why is it so difficult to protect and preserve this natural arrangement of human relationship just as we’re trying so hard to protect the natural ecosystems of other living organisms? It is mind boggling that mankind does not care about his own life but the lives of other living organisms. Why do we want to destroy the natural male-female relationship, instead, we’re trying hard to introduce something that is alien to human existence? The issue of homosexuality is not part of the natural arrangement of human creation and existence and we are only trying to call ourselves fouls and hypocrites if we insist in legalizing homosexuality in our societies.

During my senior high school studies, I learned something in economics called, “Diminishing Marginal Returns”, which means the more you produce and continue to produce, initially you grow, reach a certain peak and begin to fall in value. Relating it to human civilization, I will only describe the era of homosexuality as a period of “human mental diminishing returns” or probably “human decivilization”. The act of homosexuality is an uncivilized act and only those humans who are losing their mental reasoning would engage in it or promote it. Even animals that have no reasoning ability are better civilized than a human generation that is promoting the act of homosexuality.

History shows clearly that, a society that deviates from it natural origin cannot stand, and the global leaders are risking the existence of the homo-sepian species if efforts are continually made to promote the act of homosexuality and lesbianism. It does not matter one’s sexual orientation, every bad and dehumanizing act must be condemned. No one can claim wholesomeness, but an act which limits the fundamental human of rights of children, those yet to be born, and societal continuity and existence must not be condoned.

I wish to reaffirm that those who engage in the act of homosexuality must be accorded their human rights to life, free from torture, and freedom of association, but their act is a complete violation of the human rights of future generations, it is an abomination in natural human society and continuity, it is against the fundamental principles of human living and practices of global development goals. This act must be condemned and banish from human society. If our global efforts are to be realized as we all desired, then our efforts must protect the rights of future generations to be born and to live in a free, fair and morally just society. We must make hay while the sun shines.

Thk so much and God bless u I sometimes don't understand why a human being wld decide to go against the word of God. Hw can a man decide to have sexual intercourse with his fellow man. What are they telling God. And they still want to adopt children. If these children were not given birth by a male and a female, wld they be humans. They want children then they shd also give birth. What moral teaching wild they teach the child?. My brother let me stop cos am getting angry.
