Africa Italy Excellence Awards 2015 Categories Unveiled

Popular African Italy Excellence Awards AIEA, which started 5 years ago with the aim of honoring Africans who have excelled in different fields in Italy, promoting Africa’s image, culture and facilitating integration of immigrants in Italy, have unveiled its categories at the headquarters of Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna – the award’s main sponsor.

During the presentation, the Vice Director of the award, Mr. Eugenio Garavini of BPER Bank, expressed his enthusiasm and how the bank is happy to associate its brand to AIEA.

The event, organized by the Divino Event Organization headed by Freda Cooper, also used the opportunity to officially launch the 5^th edition of Africa Italy Excellence Awards.

This year, the Divino Friends Organization board has selected 27 categories. They have also introduced new categories, 9 honoree and 18 categories subjected to 45% public vote and 55% reserved for selected judges’ votes which will be composed of renowned experts in the field of immigration, economics, information and law.

“The event is a special initiative that aims to celebrate exemplary individuals who have made a significant difference in the African community in Italy and Europe and aims to identify and celebrate notable Africans who have genuinely excelled in various spheres of life, as well as individuals in society who have contributed to the advancement of Africans in the Diaspora and Africa as a whole” Freda Cooper stressed in her speech.

As to when the main event will be coming on, she disclosed that it comes off on 5^th of December in Italy but for now, fans can nominate their favorites from now till 4^thNovember.
