
The President of International Council of Churches and Minister of Great Britain, and the General overseer of Shiloh United church Ghana, to West Africa Arch Bishop Dr. Samuel Richard Addae has charged Heads of Various religious bodies and churches to extent their love to the vulnerable in their churches during this festive season.
He said, it is more important for pastor and religious leaders, lead their congregations to share what they have with the needy in the church than to those that are bit bless to escape economic challenges.
“It is more importance for pastors to lead the congregation to share with those that don't have in their churches, than to shift attention on people who are capable of managing their finance”. He stated.
He said, this will help put joy on the tongue of those that are of little chance to financial development in the churches.
The arch bishop and the Principal of Shiloh Bible Training center for Pastors at Tanoso-Kumasi in the Ashanti region issued this charges when interacting with modern Ghana news in Kumasi.
According to him, Christ was born to show his mercies on all people but especially the poor and the needy. In view of this, he indicated that, is time pastors and religious leaders should only wishes to receive gift from members but also share with those that lack in the church.
He charges the pastors and those that are of privilege, to invite those that don't have home to share their foods, cloths and drinks with them.
“Please, those that you have something to eat and drink with your family, bring the needy home and dinned with them and through this, God will continue blessing you and your family”. He added.
He advised pastors to visit orphanage homes to extent helping hand to the vulnerable at the various orphanage homes in the country.
“This is what God is expected from us, we the pastors but and not only seeking, and demanding from the congregation, lead the congregation to orphanage home and show love to them too”. He lamented.
Commenting on the important of the birth of Christ, arch bishop Dr. S.R. Addae said is through the birth that has brought salvation to mankind. He said that, Jesus Christ have showed love to us that we might also do same unto others.
“Jesus loved you and came for you, so you must also show same love to others”. He said. He added that, though the set date, December 25th is not stated in the bible but, the most important is that, we have allotted date to remember the birth of the savior.
Arch Bishop S.R Addae caution the public and Christians to exhibit good moral character that will glorify the good name of the Lord. He advised the youth to mine dressing to church during the Christmas season.
He also advised drivers to observe traffic rules and regulations to avoid preventable incidents during this Christmas.
