Kumasi, June 21, GNA- The Right Reverend Dr Sam Prempeh, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has charged church leaders to fashion their lifestyles in conformity the teachings of the Bible.
"Church leaders should refrain from acts that bring priesthood into disrepute", he said.
The Right Rev. Dr Prempeh was preaching the sermon after ordaining 13 Ninisters of the church at the Asawasi Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Kumasi on Sunday.
The Ministers did a two-year probation ministerial training after their pastoral training in 2002, in accordance with the church's regulations.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the church told the ministers to consider pastoral work a standard of life, which required commitment and dedication.
The Right Rev. Dr Prempeh called on all Presbyterians to pray for a successful election for a new Moderator on 8th July. He expressed gratitude to church members, especially the General Assembly for the support they gave him during his six-year tenure of office.
