The Enemy Called Friend

Once upon a time, in the village of 'Beltaa', there live ten friends. These friends were so closed to one another that they did almost everything in common. They moved together most of the time, transacted businesses together, even when it came to matters of relationships they never failed to share their experiences and plans.

Things really worked for these friends, in terms of education, they were excelling. They became the talk of the village of 'Beltaa'. Many people liked these friends and almost always tried as much as they could to relate with them. There also existed the jealous ones who never wanted to see these friends succeed. But as it is said, it is easier to break a single broom stick than the whole broom at ones. Those who tried to see the downfall of these friends never succeeded because they were as united as the broom.

Things really worked for these friend for a number of years until a cynical incident occurred. This incident became the cradle of mistrust between these friends and things started falling apart. Woman as it said is the cause of the troubles in this world. Dabuo unknowingly met a lady he never know was the fiancée of Nemiyouro and suddenly got attracted to her.

As any man could have done, he started making advances to her. Dabuo was still in the process when Nemiyuoro detected what was going on and was forced to come up openly to express his dissatisfaction with the trend of events. Things really got tough and it took the intervention of the other eight friends to cool tempers.

Months later, as if everything was getting better and the friends were getting united, another catastrophe befell the group. Bayuo indeed was shocked to the bones when he got to know that his friend Nemiyouro led another friend Nyaanaa to approach Bagberema a lady Bayuo has been eyeing for long and has been doing all he can to have her as a fiancée. Nemiyouro was fully aware of Bayuo's intention for Bagberema. Bayuo therefore could not comprehend why Nemiyuoro decided to led Nyaanaa to Bagberema. When two 'paddies' begin to follow one girl what happens? The beginning of doom days I guess.

Things really started working badly for these friends, because the trust they had that enabled them to share secrets among themselves disappeared and it became very hard for one to disclose his issues to the other because he never wanted to be stabbed at the back by his own friend. An enemy who stabs you openly is better than a friend who stabs you secretly.

MORAL LESSON
It can take you years to develop trust for a person and just a second to lose that trust. So when you have people who trust you for no special reason you got to do well not to disappoint them.

Before the incident Nemiyouro trusted Dabuo but his trust for him disappeared after he realized Dabuo was going after his fiancée. Bayuo on the other hand trusted Nemiyouro and Nyaanaa but he lost the trust he had for them when he got to know the two went behind to work against him.
