Shiloh United Church holds convocation

The Shiloh United Church and the International Council of Churches and Ministers of Great Britain (ICCMGB) have held their 28th annual convocation in Kumasi at which 111 new graduates in Theology were ordained as pastors.

Addressing the gathering, the President of the ICCMGB, Archbishop Dr Samuel Richard Addae, said the world was going through a stage where evil doing was having a toll on the society.

He, therefore, urged the new ministers to use the word of God to help change things.

“These days, many persons think of careers rather than callings. The biblical challenge to consider should be extended from the call to salvation to the call to the ministry,” he told the ministers.

Archbishop Addae said when God prompted someone to do something on his behalf, that person must do so with all  willingness.

He urged Christians to have love for one another because without that, no one can stand out to say he or she loves God.

He said citizens of the nation and members of the christian family could make a difference in the lives of the needy by giving something little to make life a bit comfortable for them.

“God wants to use you to make a difference in His world. He wants to work through you. What matters is not the duration of your life, but the donation of it,” he said.
