Homosexuality Is A Threat To Human Rights

I have continued to monitor and ponder on issues of human rights particularly those items that constitute it. What is surprising to me is the conscious perplexity and grievous depravity of morality as against human rights. The world of knowledge and wisdom will tell you that culture is a natural facet that evolves overtime and therefore every society develops out of cultural maturity or civilization.

Unfortunately and much ironically are the giants of civilization (developed cultures) such as the UN, UK, and US that seemed preaching and advocating for the promotion of human rights, and simultaneously advocating for cultural immorality such as homosexuality.

According to the UN Declaration on Human Rights (Article 1), 'All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood'. Human rights constitute those aspects of life or privileges that cut across and are universally applicable to every living being and to all human cultures.

These include right to life, freedom speech, right to associate, free movement, etc. If this definition really works for the UN, US and UK, then it will be amazing to preach about gay rights. In any case, if the preachers believe people have the freedom to make choices and to associate, so for that reason men can marry men, and women marry women, why should other individuals who have 'equal right to associate', with groups such as robbers, terrorists, extremists, rebels and other groups be targeted for elimination? Don't the same rights applied to them?

Of course, they may attempt to answer this question that these gangs are engaged in fatal activities such as suicide bombing and killing of human beings. But, what is more suicidal than activities that will robber a society from its intrinsic tenet of continuity? Yes! Homosexually is a silent and gentle terrorist that nubs society of its very value of continuity and human existence. Do the Preachers really care about the existence of human progeny, and societal regeneration?

In fact, those who preach about Homosexuality need to ask themselves why they have wives and children. And if their parents were in the act, would they have the opportunity to do what they are doing today? I beg to be excuse of my language, but is this not hypocrisy and self-mental defilement? Whatever the answers may be they need psychological counseling. Frankly speaking, gays and lesbians if they will only be fair to themselves and the very Creator will tell you the act is a serious mental decay and emotional degradation.

Personally, I see Homosexuality as a threat to human rights and for that matter a serious decay in human reason and conscience, of which the human rights fighters talked about. Of course, human rights do not exist in a vacuum - without a human society, we cannot have human rights. This act is in contravention with the laws of nature and societal evolution. In fact, the act indicates a societal decay or what I will describe as 'diminishing returns in civilization'.

In other words, it is a barbaric practice which dates back to the period of Jahilila or Sodomy & Gomorra, and should have no place in contemporary society. It is also important to understand that whiles we have individual rights; we also have communal rights and interests. Communal rights exist to benefit the generality of humanity, so if individual rights will undermine the very value of the entire communal right, then it will be precarious for both to co-exist.

Perhaps, if the proclaimed human rights activists so see the very importance of human existence and the need for human freedom, then they will also foresee the very rights of future generations yet to be born. It is time to rethink and redefine the concept of human rights as those that are universally applicable, acceptable and defined as part of human morality in every society. In the application of human rights, what is wrong is wrong and what is right is right because human rights do no emanate from a vacuum, but from the very Creator of human progeny. It is an affront to the purpose of human creation and for that matter invalidates the principle of human rights.

Again, the preachers of gay and lesbian rights should be ware that, it not about religion neither it is about discrimination. No gay or lesbian have ever been abused to the best of my knowledge; however, we criticize the act of homosexuality, because it has no place in any society, neither does it have a place in any culture. And if other society now intends to practice it, it should not be forced on those who distaste it.

Every country has a unique culture so does Africans. Homosexuality is against the culture of Africans and so it would remain. It should be noted that nobody is crucifying, discriminating, molesting or degrading individual because of his/her sexual orientation, but we are strictly condemning the act of homosexuality.

Homosexuals are advice to rethink of the very importance of their birth by their parents and surrender themselves for psychiatric attention and moral counseling, because nothing on this earth is more dangerous than sincere and conscientious stupidity. May be, we all must agree with Confucius that, 'if there were one word that could act as a standard of conduct for one's entire life, perhaps it would be 'thoughtfulness'.
