Guwahati, April 30 : Anti-talk faction group of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) has ready for talks with Union government if it will be held in a third country and it must be discussed in the issue of Assam's sovereignty.
The banned organization had taken the decision during its five day long central executive meeting, which was held from April 2.
In a statement sent to media houses, the chairman of the outfit group Dr Abhijit Asom had said that, ULFA will took participate in talks with Union government only the issue of Assam's sovereignty and it must be held in a third country in presence of representatives of United Nations (UN).
The banned organization had also changed the name of the organization and it would be known as United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) or ULFA (I).
The central executive of ULFA has appointed C-in-C Paresh Asom as new vice chairman along with his earlier position of the organization and Jiban Asom as its finance secretary.
