Ghana Is Not Alone: No Where Cool

Ghana Is Not Alone: No Where Cool
16.04.2013 LISTEN

The 100 days of President Mahama has gone down into the history of the country as the most turbulent time as far as the 56year old Ghana is concerned. Some have described it as the worse in our history, and IMANI Ghana has rated the performance of John Mahama 100 day's administration as 47% accurate.

Among the challenges are:
1. Power fluctuation, which we call Dum SO
This has generated the greeting, ( mema mo du soo, yaaa mahama)

2. Election Petion, the NPP key elements refusing to recognize the legitimacy of John Mahama despite the Constitution of Ghana.

3. The sending of Pastors to pray in Israel, with the source of coming from unnamed philantropist

4. The teachers front weeklong nationwide strike
5. The 15billion Asongtaba Akonfem SADA project
6. The payment of 2 billion Ex-gratia to Members of Parliament

7. The University teachers week long strike
8. The Doctors two weeks strike, etc
The Bible has a verse which says sometimes we should count our blessings. But Ghana is not alone, have a loook:

1. At the time when Ghanaians were weeping and insulting John Mahama's administration, the two West African states, namely Benin and Togo sent their top envoy to our country begging that we should increase the Mega Watt of electricity that we supply to them.

2. Nigeria, the most populous state in Africa is still battling with terrorist group called Buko haram

3. Information reaching us shows that there has been massive strike nationwide strike by the teachers in Togo currently.

The list can move on and on, but my wish is Ghanaians must note that no government can perform miracles to alleviate all the problems we face. A lot of the problems are as a result of our own bad attitude and lack of care for the welfare of our country. We must not think that coup de tat can help, as some selfish individuals are proposing.

We must all bow our heads in shame for using politics to tear our country and our institutions to the extent that the country is gradually sinking. The politicians as usual do benefit from such selfish tear apart and are ready to use the masses to achieve their interest.

Let us uphold our country for once. Thank you Ghana…
