The Ghana Journalist Association has elected Affail Monney as its new President.
The Editor at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation stood unopposed and was elected accordingly.
Other national executives elected include, Mathias Tibu as Vice president, Dave Agbenu, General Secretary.
Mr Tibu, a staff of the Ghana Institute of Journalism polled 316 votes to beat his closest challenger Abu Issa Monnie of Peace FM who got 216.
The election was conducted in some selected media houses across the country to enable members to cast their ballot, whilst the International Press Center served as the collation centre where the election results were declared.
The elections ended around 5pm, Tuesday.
