Former Ghana captain, John Mensah has joined his former club, Stade Rennes.
The 30-year-old who has been a free agent since June 2012 has signed a six-month deal with the French top flight side.
Mensah was with the Red and Black for three seasons and was handed the captain's armband in his final year before joining Lyon in the 2008-2009 season.
He is expected to provide cover for his compatriot, John Boye who will be with the Black Stars of Ghana at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Mensah who will wear the number 20 jersey will be presented to the press on Thursday.
