A number of people got injured when two Muslim sects in Tamale clashed at radio station Sunday evening.
The Tijaniya and the Alasuna sects engaged in the violent confrontation at the North Star Radio over the varied interpretation of some verses in the Quran.
Properties, including motorbikes were also said to have been destroyed.
General Manager of the radio station, Adam Cockra explained the conflict ensued when the Alasuna sect went to the station to buy airtime to explain their own interpretation of aspects of the Quran that the Tijaniya group had interpreted differently.
Meanwhile, members of the rival sect are also said to have attacked Zaa FM, another radio station in Tamale.
