The groundbreaking electronic ticket card for events launched by BSL and Ticket Ghana, weeks ago has received huge endorsements from some of the entertainment industry's biggest event players.
Amongst the companies giving their seal of approval include, Fantasy Entertainment, the American based events outfit responsible for staging both the Rick Ross and Mavado Concerts in Ghana; according to the Chief Executive, Leslie, electronic ticketing for events is exactly what event organizers need to effectively minimize the risk of people duplicating tickets and causing them to lose money on their events. He however warns that, the system must be properly with awareness creation amongst consumers in order to enable the lay man understand the usefulness of the e-ticket card.
Also endorsing the service, is Emma Twum of Event Street Africa, the events outfit responsible for first staging Sonni Badu in Ghana; she believes the introduction of the e-ticket card into the events business is a long awaited step in the right direction.
Though previously launched by BSL last year as “Keba ekong” , the system has been rebranded in a collaboration with ticket agency Ticket Ghana and will be known as the E-Ticket Card to be primarily used for event ticketing.
Most industry pundits believe that it will revolutionalize the ticket
distribution industry in the country, and provide clients with a comprehensive one-stop solution for all their ticketing and computer-controlled event access requirements. The
will also guarantee clients a maximized revenue stream and give customers
greater convenience by allowing them to buy their season tickets and
advanced tickets from multiple locations in the country.
The E-Ticket Card is set to become operational by April and will be used for major concerts, award ceremonies, film premieres, sports events, launch/release parties, fashion shows and conferences amongst others.
