Ejisu (Ash), Dec. 25, GNA – The Reverend Father Anthony Anomah, Dean of Studies, Spiritan University, Ejisu, has entreated Christians to stand for the truth in whatever they do.
This was necessary, especially as the nation prepares towards the upcoming general elections.
He said this in a homily at a Christmas service held at the Ejisu Saint Anthony's Catholic Church.
The Rev Father Anomah also asked that the celebration of the birth of Christ should be used to carefully reflect on the purpose of God's creation of man to appreciate the need to be God-fearing and piety.
The occasion should not be for merry-making and commercialization.
He advised parents to be more responsible to their children and to make sure that they conducted themselves well.
At the Asonomaso Saint Gabriel's Catholic Church in the Kwabre East District, the Rev Father Edward Baafi, asked Christians to be agents of peace.
He also encouraged them to support the poor and the needy in society.
