WOULD NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS SURVIVE AFTER THEIR CONGRESS TO ELECT STANDARD-BEARER?

WOULD NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS SURVIVE AFTER THEIR CONGRESS TO ELECT STANDARD-BEARER?

To those who question fierce acrimony and recrimination within and among NDC Party top leadership have every reason to believe that the party is in deep crisis and hence about to implode if urgent care is not taken.

It is undeniable fact that former President Rawlings is a real threat for NDC chances in the 2012 elections. To those who underestimate his threat do so in their peril. As a supporter of the party I can confirm in my view that the actions and inactions of the Rawlingses family are very appalling and nauseating but make no mistake they are heavyweights in the party. The question I want to ask is why Rawlings sudden change of heart for President Mills? Yes, Rawlings is in denial, why is he coercing and spurring his wife to contest President Mills in the NDC primary?

I can't understand mate. One thing everybody should know and understand is the damages we are causing now will hunt whoever wins the presidential slot. Why is Rawlings sowing seed of division and disunity in the party he has helped built? Of course, President Mills may be slow but this power struggle is not an answer. President Mills understands what he is doing hence I believe he should be given time to execute his better Ghana agenda. Honestly, I'm beginning to understand many of the things my brothers and sisters in the NPP have said about former President Rawlings. Even today many supporters of NDC have the audacity to defend his brutal and indefensible regimes. Why not give Mills peace?

Frankly, his decision to spur his wife to contest Mills has forced me to believe and confirm the conception mooted that he was hesitant and reluctant to hand over power to former President Kuffour after NDC loss in 2000 elections? Why his wife but not Spio?

Clearly, NDC will be better of under Mills to fight 2012 elections but I can figure out that flummoxed Rawlingses will embark on bitter fight to dim the chances of NDC. Mills should warm himself up for a fight because we all know what Rawlings is capable of saying. Many of the information will be absurd, eccentric and damaging, but the question is how the Mills camps respond? For how long can Mills continue to be a punch bag?

There is a clear evident that Rawlingses opportunism is at its highest level. One British diplomat said “a worse time in government is ten times better than in opposition”.
