Lawyer sarah Adwoa Safo was declared winner for Dome/kwabenye constituency, by the electoral commission, in the New Patriotic Party parliamentary primaries election.Held at the university of nuclear and applied science, ahead the general election in 2012.
The aspirants for the Dome/Kwabenye constituency were, Lawyer Sarah Adwoa Safo, Lawyer Nii Nortey Ocquaye jnr, Mr Robert Osei Bonsu.The number of delegate in this constituency who voted were three hundered and thirty nine(339).The election started as abount 9:30am in the morning through to 2:00pm where election ended.The result was announced immediately after counting.It came to light that, Lawyer Adwoa Safo had one hundered and eighty six(186) votes, Lawyer Nii Nortey Ocquaye had one hundered and twenty four votes, and Mr Robert Osei Bonsu had ninteen votes.No votes was destroyed in the constituency.
The returning officer from the electoral commission thereby declared Lawyer Adwoa Safo as the over all winner and will be contesting on the ticket of the member of parliament sit for the constituency on the ticket of NPP in the 2012 general election.
Lawyer Adwoa said in an interview with modernghana that, she is going to call a general meeting to meet all the aspirants, delegates and party sympathizes to unit them and work together for victory in 2012 general election as the NPP flag bearer match into the castle.
She also advise the young ladies to take thier lesson seriously and also work hard towards the achievement of their gaols.She advise the youth to desist from immoral act which will tarnish their image and career.
Lawyer Safo, from the election grounds drove straight to fathers who is the founder of Kristo Asafo and manufacturer of katanka cars Mr Safo Katanka to announce her victory to him, before going home to party till day break.
