Treble silver-ware winner, Sulley Muntari has extended a hand to the Swedru flood victims in the Central Region.

Moved by compassion, the Black Stars and Inter Milan midfield ace, visited the affected area and presented 100 bags of Cement, food items, clothes, toiletries and a ¢2,000 cash donation to the victims.

And like the Biblical Triumphant entry of Jesus Christ, news about the midfielder's visit attracted large following from far and near, making the movement of his entourage difficult.

He first made a courtesy call on the acting President of the Nyakrom Traditional Council, Nana Asiedu Botwey's Palace in Swedru, where he presented the items, stating that 'I would have wished to make a bigger donation, but having seen the nature of the catastrophe, I will come again to support the victims in my own small way, because it's heart breaking to see your fellow brothers with no place to lay their heads.'

Muntari pleaded with the elders of the Council to distribute the items judiciously and equitably.

Nana Asiedu thanked Muntari copiously for the gesture and admonished him to esteem humility is his quest to go far in his soccer career.

Muntari then visited the Zongo community, where 97% of the mud houses had collapsed, except the Mosque and the Swedru Stadium ,where the victims currently use as residence.

The emotionally stricken midfielder wept uncontrollably seeing many of the residents rendered homeless by the June 20 flood.

He also presented GH¢2,000, clothes and other items to the victims and urged them to keep hope alive. The elders of the Zongo community expressed thanks to Sulley for the gesture and wished him well in his career.
