Accra, June 27, GNA - CFAO Ghana Limited marked its 100 years in Ghana with the opening of aGH¢7 millionnew flagship showroom in the airport business area, to enhance service delivery to clients.
Measuring 4119.70 sq metres, company officials said the layout and position of each workstation has beendesigned to improve communication and efficient interaction with clients.
"Our primary goal in designing this building was to improve efficiency and serve our clients better," said Mr Thomas Pelletier, Managing
Director, CFAO Ghana Limited.
He lauded the conducive business environment in Ghana, which he said had brought CFAO businesses back to profitability.
"I am happy to announce that all our subsidiaries are thriving," Mr Pelletier said, adding that in order to sustain growth there is the need to invest and expand capacity hence the building of the showroom.
In order to ensure high standards of environmental integrity, he said, CFAO is currently installing equipment that "will enable us harvest rainwater and then recycle this to wash and service all our vehicles".
Mr Pelletier underscored the commitment of CFAO to enrich the communities within which it operates.
Ms Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry, who inaugurated the showroom, said CFAO would always be part of Ghana's commercial history and socio-economic development.
She encouraged the company to diversify its operations into more areas.
Ms Tetteh urged the private sector to work with government in creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
CFAO began its sales operation in Sekondi in 1908 and opened its first counter to serve customers in December 1909, importing manufactured goods and exporting gold, cocoa and timber.
Since 2000, CFAO core activities have focused on four key areas namely: automobile and equipment distribution, plastic industry, new technologies and pharmaceutical distribution.
