Two minutes after recess, Seidu Banson put the game beyond the reach of the league leaders when he slotted the ball past the onrushing Kessben FC goalie.
Then on, Kessben FC woke up from their slumber and managed to snatch a consolation when James Boadu's bullet zoomed into the yawning net in the 60th minute.

At the Robert Mensah Stadium at Cape Coast, Defending Champions Accra Hearts of Oak, playing home-away-from-home due to suspension, proved a mouthful for their stubborn opponents, Bechem Chelsea.

Hearts extended their lead after the break when Tua Khemis perfectly finished a decent cross sent to the opponent's vital area by Abubakar Mahady.
The visiting team did not look dejected by the score-line as they took hold of the midfield which resulted in a consolation goal fetched by substitute Salifu Kankani to end the game 2-1 for Hearts.
