Accra, Aug. 23, GNA - Ghanaians must persevere in their mission of nation building to be able to make gains for the citizenry.
Brother Sonny Quargraine Founder of the Elijah Praying Group, who made the call on Sunday at a thanksgiving service by the Gabrieno Prayer Ministry, said the clergy, politicians and the entire society must desist from giving half hearted approach to their legitimate assignments.
“Practice the profession you choose for yourself with commitment and dedication,” he said.
The service was the climax of a Silver Jubilee/Founder's Day of the Gabrieno Prayer Ministry under the leadership Prophetess Nora Addoquaye Mensah.
Brother Quargraine told the congregants to approach with vigour and passion their assignments at work places, at home and in the church in order to achieve maximum results.
He said Christians must be patient especially when afflictions and troubles come and be content with the material and spiritual resources God had blessed them with.
He assured them that God would lead them on to the very things they set their hearts to achieve in His (God) own time.
Brother Quargraine said Christians must be pacesetters in humility and in obeying legitimate authority.
Pastor James Legge of the Gabrieno Church said the ministry began in 1984 when Prophetess Nora Addoquaye Mensah was healed of paralysis after the Elijah Praying Group at Korle Gonno had prayed for her.
He said Prophetess Addoquaye Mensah was not only healed but carried along with her the gift of healing and established the church to help those who needed spiritual healing.
Mr Chris Nartey Chairman of the occasion said most Christians have neglected the evangelism ministry and rather preferred seating in the comfort of their Church auditoriums to listen to sermons.
He said the church must affect the society positively by living morally upright life and pursue the un-repented with sustained evangelism till they gave their lives to Christ.
