ZAIN GHANA, the telecommunications operator with the fastest network in Ghana, is celebrating its success after exceeding the one-millionth subscriber target, with a programme to reward customers.
'Live Your Dream', launched Friday in Accra, offers opportunity for every Zain customer in Ghana to win GH¢75, 000 to actualise their dreams.
Ransford Nyarko, Marketing Director of Zain Ghana, who indicated the programme was an appreciation of Zain to its customers, said: “When Zain came to Ghana, it empowered its customers by giving them the platform to choose their phone numbers, becoming the first mobile network to reward customers with the ground-breaking “You Pay, Zain Pays' promotion.”
He therefore invited more people in Ghana to join the wonderful world of Zain and experience its unmatched services.
Zain is a leading telecommunication operator across the Middle East and Africa, providing mobile voice and data services to 64.7 million active customers as at 31 March 2009.
In terms of country footprint, Zain is the 3rd largest mobile operator in the world with a commercial presence in 24 countries.
“To date, we have paid out over GH¢ 2.5 million. We have done exceptionally well in our first six months and want to reward our customers by continuing with their empowerment. We want people to think about what they have always dreamt of doing and Zain would make that come true.”
Carmen Bruce Annan, Corporate Communication Manager, Zain Ghana, in a speech said even though Zain launched its fastest network in Ghana a few months back, it has been able to offer innovative services in its market such as 'One Network' the world's first borderless mobile telecommunication network that enables customers abroad to receive calls and SMS without charge. The system also makes voice and data calls at local rates throughout 19 countries in Africa and the Middle East while allowing customers to top up their airtime in their home country from more than 1 million outlets within Zain's one network footprint.
