The Leklebi Senior High School in the Hohoe Municipal area has called on past students of the school to help transform the physical outlook of the institution now in its 40th year.
In a statement announcing the school's 40 years anniversary, which falls on June 21, this year, Mr Thomas. N.K. Odikro, Headmaster of the School urged all year groups since 1967 "to make special donations in cash or kind", to address a number of pressing needs of the school.
These include a dormitory block for boys, dining hall and kitchen, an administrative block complex and bungalows for the headmaster and staff.
Others are renovation works, a set of furniture for the headmaster's office, 200 steel beds for the girl's dormitory and 30 stuffing chairs with tables for the staff common room.
Leklebi Secondary School started as a community day secondary school in 1967 by Reverend C.K. Agbola, then headmaster of the Hohoe Evangelical Presbyterian Secondary School at Hohoe, and was absorbed into the public system in 1979.
The school's current student population stands at 405 made up of 226 boys and 179 girls, up from 41, 40 years ago.
