Business executive Courage Kwame Mensah, popularly known as CK Mensah, has officially announced his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primary in Atwima Nwabiagya South, pledging to prioritise party unity, job creation and constituency development.
He is entering the race with a campaign agenda centred on “A New Chapter of Unity, Inclusion, Job Opportunities and Accountable Leadership”, which he says will guide his approach to representing the constituency in Parliament.
CK Mensah said his decision followed extensive consultations and careful consideration, adding that his ambition was to promote inclusive leadership while addressing the economic and developmental needs of residents.
Drawing on his experience in business, investment and stakeholder engagement, he intends to use his professional background and networks to attract investment, support local enterprises and create employment opportunities.
He has also identified education, healthcare and youth development as key areas requiring attention, arguing that the constituency needs leadership focused on delivering practical results rather than making promises.
Party unity also features prominently in his campaign. CK Mensah has pledged to work with constituency executives, former executives, polling station officers, electoral area coordinators and grassroots members to strengthen the NPP’s structures and improve its electoral prospects.
He is calling for reconciliation and greater participation within the party, insisting that every member and stakeholder should have a role in building a united and effective constituency organisation.
At the national level, the aspirant has declared his support for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential ambition ahead of the 2028 general elections.
He believes a united and well-organised party in Atwima Nwabiagya South would be important to the NPP’s broader efforts to return to power.
Explaining his leadership philosophy, CK Mensah said the interests of the people must take precedence over personal political ambitions.
“Leadership is about service, accessibility, and accountability,” he stated.
He has consequently appealed to party members, traditional stakeholders and residents to support his vision of an inclusive and development-focused constituency.
“Together, let us build a united, organised and progressive Atwima Nwabiagya South,” he added.
With his declaration, CK Mensah joins the contest for the NPP parliamentary ticket, presenting his business experience, grassroots mobilisation agenda and commitment to development as the foundation of his bid.
