As an institutional establishment, the New York Post is not remarkably known for vigorously advocating for the safety and the welfare of children of New York City’s Non-White and Lumpen Poor, at least over the past 40-plus years that this author has been both a resident and a bona fide citizen of the Big Apple and the United States of America as a whole. So, it came as absolutely no surprise, whatsoever, that the New York Post as an institutional and an Ultra-Right Wing Media Establishment, “naturally,” would not support the mayoral candidacy of the then State Assembly Representative from the Borough of Queens going into last year’s hotly contested Mayoral Election.

Which is also why it equally comes as absolutely no surprise that having epically and scandalously failed to slow down and/or effectively scuttle the Social-Welfare Agenda of a Revolutionary Leader in the mold of the immortalized President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the Editors and the Publishers of this Ultra-Conservative bulwark of the kleptocratic MAGA Apostolate will be so desperately attempting to thoroughly and relentlessly sabotage the direly needed policy package of salutary and progressive reforms being studiously and auspiciously implemented by the youngest and, by the lights of some knowledgeable and authoritative pundits, the most politically enlightened statesman in New York City Government in more than a century (See “Mamdani Looks to Put More Children in Danger at ACS as Lefties Want to Abolish Much-Needed Agency” New York Post 2/13/26).

Yours Truly has deliberately kept the latter referenced New York Post Editorial Board’s melodramatically screaming screed for more than a half-year now, obviously because he is fully convinced that unless such unspeakably Anti-Working and Lower-Class systematic and relentless media blitz such as the one presently under discussion is afforded the prompt and the necessary critical examination by way of a morally and an intellectually poignant retort, it could very well set an unsavory tide and sequence of the kind of socioeconomic and political genocide that the greedily and the ferociously self-absorbed New York Post’s Editorial Board has been willfully and criminally pursuing ever since any mature and civically responsible New York City resident adult citizen can remember.

You see, to infuse its overdrive criticism of Mayor Zohran “The Shining Star” Kwame Mamdani’s nonesuch and inimitably progressive Child-Welfare Policy Initiative Agenda with a semblance of the requisite credibility, the New York Post’s Editorial Board would have done much better to have presented a comprehensive catalog of its own first-hand experience of the sort of gross managerial incompetence of the previous leaders or commissioners of the Administration of Children Services (ACS), and not facilely and scandalously presume to take reckless and preemptive potshots at a couple of recent transitional or interim administrators of the Agency and to indiscriminately tarnish the image and the reputation of these otherwise hardworking and conscientious newcomers and in the process, rabidly scapegoating the latter in conflation with the integrity of the entire institutional establishment of the Administration of Children’s Services.

As one who has known several relatives and acquaintances at both the lower rungs and the middle and the upper echelons of the ACS for quite a considerable while, Yours Truly can fairly reasonably attest to the fact that as an institutional establishment, this behemoth does not seem to have been to discharge the primary objective for which it was established, in view of the putative fact that the ACS has either been deliberately or inadvertently, or even a combination of both, not been allowed to perform completely independent of the kind of Political Nintendo Game that has ensured that the overwhelming bulk of its intended “missionary” agenda would be systematically thwarted or hamstrung.

The Sanhedrin membership of the New York Post’s Editorial Board also woefully lacks the requisite credibility and the unblemished moral authority to presume to look over the shoulders of a far more morally and politically enlightened Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani, having staunchly and unconscionably and blindly backed the Mayoral Candidacy of Mr. Andrew Cuomo, the morally shameless and epically failed twice-elected former Governor of New York State, under whose corrupt stewardship the ACS was beset with more problems than it may be aptly deemed to be afflicted with presently.

Which essentially means that not only is the caliber of constituent membership of the New York Post’s Editorial Board almost thoroughly bereft of the requisite moral compass but, for the most part, it is also almost completely and despicably hypocritical to cavalierly presume itself to be especially qualified to call the shots, as it were, on precisely who qualifies to be named or nominated as Director or Commissioner for the Administration of Children’s Services under the tenure and the, so far, perfectly able and felicitous stewardship of Mayor Zohran “The Shining Star” Kwame Mamdani.

Even more concerning and politically and morally disturbing is the fact that the New York Post’s Editorial Board would blatantly base its judgment on the administrative competence and the integrity of the leadership of the Administration of Children’s Services on a schlocky article written and published by Mrs. Naomi Schaefer Riley in the New York Post, almost as if the New York Post’s Editorial Board hermetically prefers to be its own referee or umpire in a matter that is far more intricate and administratively multi-pronged than the fluffy and the intellectually obtuse opinion of a pathologically Zionist and a rabidly racist former blogger and writer and a political commentator for the nationally prestigious Chronicle for Higher Education and got fired in 2012, or thereabouts, for writing a blog that cretinously argued for the abolition and the elimination of African American Studies in the American College Curriculum.

Now, is Naomi Schaefer Riley the kind of civilized, progressive and authoritative political pundit and social commentator whose downright Clarence Thomasian opinion on an agency and an institutional establishment that caters to the welfare of predominantly African American and Ethnic and Racial Minorities in the New York City Metropolitan Area that would have the entire panoply of the New York Post’s Editorial Board devote an editorial mini-essay in promoting as the latest most authoritative Gospel on the Welfare of Our Children and Grandchildren? That Naomi Schaefer Riley’s husband, Jason Riley, is an African American, is all the more to be pitied. Folks, I rest my case.
