The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has requested detailed financial, tax and operational records from law firm Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Partners as part of ongoing investigations.
In a letter dated October 30, 2026, and signed by its Acting Executive Director, Raymond Archer, EOCO invoked Section 19 of the Economic and Organised Crime Office Act, 2010 (Act 804), to formally demand the documents.
The letter, marked confidential, requests records covering the period from 2017 to 2025 to assist the Office with its investigations.
Among the documents being sought are the firm's audited financial statements and evidence of tax payments made to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), including corporate tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), levies and withholding tax.
EOCO has also requested details of all bank accounts operated by the firm, together with the corresponding bank statements.
The request further covers the firm's operating permits and renewals issued by the relevant local assembly, as well as a list of employees who worked for the firm during the period, if any.
According to the letter, the requested information is expected to reach the Office by November 6, 2026.
EOCO said the documents were required to facilitate its ongoing investigations and appealed to the law firm to cooperate with the request.
The letter was addressed to Sarkodie Baffour Awuah and Partners at No. 9 Wawa Drive, North Dzorwulu, Accra.
