A 56-year-old woman has sparked public rage after she was allegedly captured dumping a sack full of rubbish into an open gutter during rainfall at Ahwiaa in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region.
In a video shared by Daily View Gh, the woman is seen carrying a sack believed to contain rubbish before emptying its contents into an open gutter while it was raining.
The footage has triggered concerns about poor sanitation practices and the indiscriminate disposal of waste, particularly during rainfall, when gutters are expected to facilitate the smooth flow of rainwater.
Such practices can contribute to the blockage of drainage systems, increasing the risk of flooding in communities, especially during periods of heavy rainfall.
