The Youth Queen of Korgbor, Ada, in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, Naana Leyo Sename II, has pledged her commitment to supporting the development of Agorhokpo and the youth of Agortime during the maiden Dunenyo Za festival celebration held over the weekend.
Naana Leyo Sename II, a native of Agortime who currently serves as Youth Queen of Korgbor in Ada and a member of the Governing Board of Amedzofe College of Education (AMECO), said her office is readily available to support youth willing to pursue careers in education, health and sports, particularly football.
She stated that any youth in Agorhokpo who aspires to enter Teacher Training College or Nursing Training College, will earn her full support as part of her plan to empower the youth of the community.
Supporting the celebration with a cash donation of GH¢10,000.00, the Youth Queen assured the community of her continued support for youth development and promised to procure dozens of jerseys for the Agorhokpo community team.
Describing Agorhokpo as her second home, Naana noted: “I have been hearing of Agorhokpo and today I am here in Agorhokpo. Agorhokpo is my second home, I love the environment and I will become one of you.”
She stressed that her role as Youth Queen in Ada will not be limited to Ada alone, as she remains a daughter of Agortime and is ready to support every development initiative from the area.
“I am available at all times to support Agorhokpo in all aspects of development once I have been called upon to do so. I am excited and humbled to be invited and to honour this invitation to Agorhokpo. The place is nice and the people are equally hospitable,” she said, while commending the Member of Parliament as a role model she continues to learn from.
Earlier at the Durbar of Chiefs and People of Agorhokpo held on Saturday, October 31, 2026 in aid of a Community Centre Project, the Chief of Agorhokpo, Togbe Agbale II, commended the Member of Parliament for his resilience and responsiveness to the needs of the community, noting that it would be his joy to build quarters for the MP to enable him to have a longer stay in the town.
Togbe Agbale II described the Community Centre as a dream project intended to set the pace for other towns in Agortime to follow, and appealed to community members to support the project with the little they have. He expressed gratitude that Agorhokpo has been blessed with donors who support without being asked, and acknowledged the presence of Naana Leyo Sename II and the MP despite their busy schedules.
