Ghanaian herbal practitioner Dr. Wiafe Akenteng has received the Excellence in Health and Wellness Award at the 15th edition of the 3G Annual Mega Awards in Yonkers, New York, USA.
The award was presented on October 23, 2026, during the 3G Mega Awards and Celebrity Bash.
The 3G Annual Mega Awards, now in its 15th edition, celebrates individuals whose work is considered to have made notable contributions to their respective fields and communities.
Dr. Wiafe Akenteng, founder of the Natural Way Herbal Clinic, has gained public attention in Ghana for his work in herbal medicine and his claims of treating kidney disease with natural remedies.
In a social media post celebrating the achievement, the herbal practitioner described the award as a recognition of his work and acknowledged the people who have supported his journey.
“Congratulations to me on winning the Excellence in Health & Wellness Award at the just-ended 15th Edition of the 3G Annual Mega Awards in Yonkers, New York, USA,” the post stated.
The post also expressed appreciation to clients, supporters and well-wishers who have helped promote his work and raise his public profile.
“This achievement is not just a personal victory but a celebration of everyone who has been part of the journey," he wrote.
Dr. Wiafe Akenteng has previously told ModernGhana News that he has treated thousands of patients with kidney disease using natural medicines developed through his research.
In a previous interview with the news outlet in April 2024, he said his interest in kidney disease treatment was driven by the suffering he had witnessed among family members and friends.
The latest award adds to his previous recognitions, including an honorary degree from George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon, in 2021.
