The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested 3 suspects in connection with the murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor, Christian Amponsah, at a guest house in Kasoa.
The deceased was found dead on Sunday, October 25, 2026, after police received a complaint from the guest house manager about a guest who had failed to leave a room after the expiry of a 2-hour short-stay booking.
According to the information available, a female juvenile suspect had booked the room with Amponsah. When the allotted period elapsed without either of them emerging, the manager followed up and discovered the vendor lying lifeless in a pool of blood.
Police officers who responded to the scene retrieved the body, which was subsequently deposited at the Police Hospital morgue in Accra for preservation and autopsy.
In a statement, the Central East Regional Police Command identified the suspects as Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a female juvenile. They were arrested on Tuesday, October 28, 2026, and are assisting with investigations.
The Command said investigations were ongoing and assured the public that steps were being taken to ensure the suspects are brought before the court.
It also commended stakeholders whose timely information contributed to the arrest of the suspects.
