The Director-General of the Cyber Security Authority (CSA), Dr Divine Selase Agbeti, has urged Ghanaians to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious cyber activities as part of efforts to strengthen cybersecurity awareness in the country.
Speaking at the 5th Cyber Secure Volta Conference 2026 in Ho as part of the National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) 2026 regional activities, Dr Agbeti encouraged participants to report suspected cyber incidents to the CSA through the short code 292.
He also called on institutions to prioritise and invest in cybersecurity measures to protect important assets from cyberattacks.
The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, urged government workers to practise good cyber hygiene in both their personal and official online activities to protect the digital infrastructure that supports Ghana’s digital transformation.
He noted that exposing government institutions to cyber risks could undermine public trust and affect the efficient delivery of services.
The conference, organised by Genius I.T Foundation in collaboration with the Cyber Security Authority, the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) and the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, brought together children, law enforcement personnel, civil society organisations, community members and other stakeholders to deepen cybersecurity awareness and discuss digital financial safety and other cyber-related issues.
