The Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, is appealing to the public to help trace the relatives of an unidentified woman currently receiving treatment after she was reportedly knocked down by a vehicle and abandoned at the scene.
The woman was initially taken to the Maamobi General Hospital before being referred to Ridge Hospital with multiple injuries, including fractures to her right arm and forearm.
In a public appeal, the hospital said no relative had so far come forward to identify or visit the woman since she was admitted.
Despite the absence of family members, the hospital said it had continued to provide her with medical care, medication and other essential support.
It also said it had recently covered the cost of her surgery as part of efforts to ensure she receives the treatment needed for her recovery.
Ridge Hospital is now appealing to anyone who recognises the woman or has information that could help identify and locate her family to contact its Client Relationship Unit.
The hospital can be reached on 055 172 7552, 053 784 7874 or 024 394 9636.
It said family support would be important to the woman's well-being as she continues her recovery and urged members of the public to share the appeal widely to help reunite her with her relatives.
