Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has criticised the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), arguing that it has failed to fulfil its promises to Ghanaians and does not deserve another term in office in the 2028 general election.
Mr Akpaloo accused the government of failing to deliver meaningful improvements in citizens’ lives, saying economic hardship remained a major concern.
According to him, the NDC has not fulfilled its commitments to the electorate and has instead presided over conditions that continue to burden Ghanaians.
He also raised concerns about illegal small-scale mining, popularly known as galamsey, claiming that the problem had worsened under the current administration.
“NDС has never fulfilled their promises to Ghanaians. They have rather brought hardship to Ghanaians; galamsey is now even worse,” he said while speaking on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Mr Akpaloo maintained that voters should make the government’s record a major consideration as political parties prepare for the next general election.
“They do not deserve to win the 2028 election,” he stated.
The LPG leader also highlighted the importance of sustained campaigning, suggesting that political parties seeking electoral success must demonstrate resilience throughout their campaigns.
“The 2028 election is for those who will be resilient in their campaign,” he said.

One doesn't need to be a psychologist to know the suffering of Kofi Akpaloo. The man has been receiving contracts and his share of corruption deals during the previous government. Now that the NPP is no longer in power, and more importantly, all the corruption loopholes have been blocked by the current government, Akpaloo is now claiming that the NDC does not deserve a second term.
